MADE TO ORDER POLICY

1. What is the Made to order model?

MADE TO ORDER is a process in which we invite you to participate in the design process of your own bikini. You will be able to choose the styles from our designs, the colors or prints from our bikini menu card and you can mix and match sizes.

This business model helps us to have greater control with the waste that is generated, in order to generate a lesser impact on the environment.

2. How much time does it take my order to be produced?

*** This process normally takes 12-15 business days from order confirmation. Once your order has been shipped, we will send you a notification. ***

3. Can I cancel or change my Order?

We start producing your order as soon as it is placed! Once an order has been placed, we are unable to make any changes (this includes shipping / billing addresses, shipping method, promotion code insertion, deletion / addition / modification of an item in your order, etc.)

4. How Can i Place my Made to Order Custom order?

You can contact us trough Instagram or Whatsapp so you can choose and create your order.

 

5. What happens if my order does not fits me? Can I change it?

We ask that you consider your size and style before committing to a purchase.
On this model we cannot produce your order again unless you place the order again. What we can do is help you with the exchange of your pieces for pieces from our collections in inventory. If you can, visit the showroom to be sure of your sizes or let us advise you with the size by a video call. You can make a reservation for your video call here.

STANDARD QUESTIONS

6. Can I change my Order?

We process your order as soon as it is placed! Once an order has been placed, we are unable to make any changes (this includes shipping / billing addresses, shipping method, promotion code insertion, deletion / addition / modification of an item in your order, etc.) Please not that this also include Made to Order Model pieces and pieces in Stock.

7. How can I track my order?

Once you order we will send you a link with your tracking number and information. If you still have not received your email, please email us at info@makaloswimwear.com so we can help you out!

8. I have not received confirmation of my order. What Can I do?

Please be sure to check your junk mail or spam folder if your confirmation email does not appear in your inbox. If you still have not received your email, please email us at info@makaloswimwear.com so we can help you out!

9. I have received my order wrong, what can I do?

If you received the wrong item, please email info@makaloswimwear.com with your order number and an image of the incorrect item (s) so we can organize to have the correct items shipped out.

10. is there anyplace where i can try makalo swimwear?

Yes but we are located only in Costa Rica . You can make a reservation and visit our atelier here.

RETURN POLICY

11. I live in Costa Rica. what is your return policy?

  • It will always be important for us to be able to help you. All return request must be made within 10 business days after date of delivery. All items must come with their respective labels and must not be subjected to washing, use or alterations in their original condition. These products will undergo a detailed inspection upon receipt. If these terms are not met, the change will be automatically denied.

*Protective accessories and items that are purchased on sale or at a discounted price cannot be returned or exchanged, and no exceptions will be made for any fit or sizing issues

MADE TO ORDER RETURNS & EXCHANGES : On this model we cannot produce your order again unless you place the order again. What we can do is help you with the exchange of your pieces for pieces from our collections in inventory.

  • Please note that we do not offer refunds for returns. *
  • The customer must cover the costs of sending the return both to our facilities and the resending of the new item or the same. We recommend that you send returns by registered mail and make a note of the tracking number, as we cannot send any replacements until your package is received.
  • MAKALO is not responsible for lost or damaged returned items. We reserve the right to deny unauthorized returns that do not comply with or follow our return policy and procedures.
  • All items must come with their respective labels and must not be subjected to washing, use or alterations in their original condition. These products will undergo a detailed inspection upon receipt. If these terms are not met, the change will be automatically denied.

 

12. How do I return if I live in costa rica?

When returning goods, please:

  1. Submit your return by entering your order number and email in this link:
  2. Print your purchase confirmation email and a note specifying your number to send with your return package.
  3. Pack all unworn and unaltered swimsuits for return, including packaging, intact tags, and hygiene strip.
  4. You can send the package to this address:

13. I am an international customer. what is your return policy?

14. How Do i return if i am an international customer?

SHIPPING POLICY

15.  When will my order be fullfilled?

Our team processes the orders from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and will generally ship within 2-3 business day. Once your package has been completed, an email will be sent confirming the tracking number.

16. I am located in costa rica. What is the shipping Policy?

In Costa Rica we work with Over Sea Logistics ( OLO ) for delivery service.

GAM $6

Shipment delivery time is 24 to 48 Hours in business days.

OUTSIDE THE GAM $8

Shipment delivery time is 2 to 3 days in business days.

Shipping price may vary depending on the logistics service fee*

This does not take into account high volume periods, such as during sales / promotions or holiday periods.

17. I am an international customer. what is The shipping Policy?

In MAKALO we work in Costa Rica shipments with Fedex.Please allow 2 business days for processing before your order ships, and 5-7 business days for delivery. Orders placed after 4:00PM PST will not begin processing until the following business day.

Orders are not processed on the weekend.

MAKALO is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages during transit/delivery.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate shipping details and will be held liable for any fees incurred for orders returned to us for inaccurate delivery information.

The customer is responsible for the cost of the return & new delivery

Fedex International: 6-15 Business Days.

18. I am an international customer. When will my order arrive?

Once your order has been shipped, we ask for 6-15 Business Days.

19. Im located outside Costa Rica. How much will the shipping cost?

We ship all international packages via FEDEX shipping and the shipping cost can vary depending on your location. Once you have entered in your location through our checkout page, the shipping fee will be displayed prior to finalizing your order. This cost can vary between $12-$60.

COVID-19

20. Delivery Delays

DUE TO COVID-19, ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ARE CURRENTLY SHIPPED WITH FEDEX AND HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO A PRICE INCREASE. PLEASE EXPECT DELAYS THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL DUE TO FLIGHT AND TRANSPORT DELAYS.
We endeavour to deliver all orders as soon as possible given the current circumstances, however anticipate that there may be delays at times. We will contact you should there be any delays in you receiving your purchase.

As a business, we are fortunate to be able to continue to operate at this time, and are doing everything in our control to maintain hygiene and safety practices.

We continue to adhere to all relevant health and hygiene standards in line with guidance from the World Health Organisation. We are maintaining the highest standards of hygiene throughout the production and postage process of your swimwear purchases, and ensuring that our employees only attend work in full health and without having come into contact with known cases
